This week's case
39, HILLDROP CRESCENT

THE CASE
On 31 January 1910, Cora Crippen disappeared from 39 Hilldrop Crescent.
Cora was a music-hall performer who appeared under the name Belle Elmore. Her husband, Dr Hawley Harvey Crippen, was an American homeopath.
For several weeks after her disappearance, Crippen told people that she had gone to America.
Then his explanation changed.
He said that she had died in California and had been cremated there.
Cora's friends began asking questions.
Among them was Kate Williams, a music-hall performer and strongwoman known as Vulcana. The matter eventually reached Scotland Yard.
How scoring works
Opening the case scores 1 point, and every call that matches the record scores that again.
A wrong call scores nothing — you keep what you have already earned.
